Pusa 1612 (Pusa -6) released by central variety release committee (2013). It is blast resistant near-isogenic line of an extra long grain slender and strongly scented rice variety Pusa Sugandh 5. It was developed through marker assisted backcross breeding in order to pyramid blast resistance genes Piz5 and Pi54 in the genetic background of Pusa Sugandh 5. It is moderately resistant to leaf and neck blast. Recommended for Region II (Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir) of the Basmati growing regions of north-western India for which the recurrent parent Pusa Sugandh 5 has been released. Pusa 1592-06-5-2 (IET-22289) rice variety identified for release by Central Variety Release Committee during 2014 in 49th All India Annual Rice Workers Group Meeting at DRR, Hyderabad (05 - 07 April 2014). It is a bacterial blight resistant near-isogenic line of an extra- long grain slender and strongly scented rice variety Pusa Sugandh 5. Pusa-1609 is a neck blast resistant basmati variety identified for release by Central Variety Release Committee during 2014 in 49th All India Annual Rice Workers Group Meeting at DRR, Hyderabad (05 - 07 April 2014). Identified for the in the Basmati growing regions of the Uttar Pradesh, National Capital Territory Region of Delhi, Uttarakhand and Punjab. It matures in just 120 days and yields 6.0 t/ha coarse grain.

Second Prize (Rs. 7500/-) for the article entitled “Direct and residual effect of S on productivity, protein content and nutrient uptake in wheat under aerobic rice-wheat cropping system” (Awarded to- Asha Ram, Dinesh Kumar and Anjali Anand), published in Indian Journal of Fertilisers 10 (2): 50-55 (March 2014 issue). Given by Fertilser Association of India, New Delhi on 10th December 2014.
